AXIOMA
A deterministic dice roguelike. The board is your hand.
You roll five dice a turn and split them across three boxes: attack, defend, or bank. Each one works in its row and its column, so where it goes matters more than what it rolled. You cannot take it back.
Infinite worlds
Access over 2.1 billion unique terminal configurations. Type any 6-character address (like K9M4XP) and you get exactly the same 24 node matrix anybody else typing K9M4XP gets.
Game Modes
The game has currently 2 game modes:
- Global Thread Ledger: Competitive Mode. One new address and payload a day, the same one for everybody, rolling at 08:00 UTC. The metric to rank better is spent turns. Fewest turns ranks higher.
- Hunt: Solo mode. Choose your payload and your address.
The turn
You roll four d6 and one d8. Every one has to go somewhere, and each has exactly three destinations:
- MATRIX: it attacks.
- SHIELD: it becomes Block, which expires at the end of the turn.
- MINE: it becomes Bytes, which do not.
One destination, chosen once. EXECUTE stays locked until your hand is empty. Nothing on the board moves after you commit.
The run
24 nodes, four sectors of six. Every sector opens on a plain fight and closes on a boss you cannot walk around. Between fights there is one shop selling fourteen modules, all passive, no rarity, every one available from the first visit, and steadily more expensive the more you own.
Payloads
You can choose 4:
- ROOTKIT : every Flush Pair turns half its line's damage into Block.
- EXPLOIT: each loose dice pays a Byte and a point of Block.
- SCRAPPER: Trios form diagonally, pierce armour, and splash half their damage onto everything else.
- POLYMORPH: a Min-Max heals 14 % of your maximum Core.
Zero Bullshit
No ads. No energy. No accounts. No connection required. No progression between run. Nothing you unlock makes the next run easier.
Why this is free right now?
This build is free while I gather data. The difficulty is currently tested with bots. Bots are not people, sometimes are stupid, sometimes are impossible to beat.
What leaves your device is the list of decisions a finished run made (which dice went where, in what order). No Terminal ID, no account, nothing that identifies you.
If you don't want to share the result of your runs, you can switch off the Telemetry button in Settings.
Future release
I am going to release this game in the next months in Google Play Store, Apple Store and Steam.
The Devlog
Want to see how the matrix is built? Follow the Devlog for technical breakdowns of AXIOMA's architecture. Expect content about cryptography, procedural statistics, and the raw code efficiency behind one of the lightest engines ever compiled.
I'll also be tracking live telemetry and sharing the results. The bots are already playing. It's your turn to outsmart them.
Do you want to support the project?
If you enjoy the game, tips are highly appreciated to help cover server costs. If you want to be in the credits when I release the full game, leave your alias in the donation notes or in the comments.
